Ingredients
- Lasagna noodles
- Ground meat (beef, pork, or sausage)
- Tomato sauce
- Ricotta cheese
- Mozzarella cheese
- Parmesan cheese
- Egg (optional, for ricotta mixture)
- Onion and garlic
- Herbs and spices (basil, oregano, salt, pepper)
Steps
- Cook the Meat Sauce: Sauté onion and garlic, add ground meat, cook until browned. Add tomato sauce and herbs. Simmer.
- Prepare the Cheese Mixture: Mix ricotta with an egg, Parmesan, salt, and chopped herbs.
- Cook the Noodles (if needed): Boil noodles unless using oven-ready ones.
- Layer the Lasagna:In a baking dish, layer sauce, noodles, ricotta mix, mozzarella. Repeat layers. Top with sauce and cheese.
- Bake: Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 25–30 minutes. Uncover and bake 10–15 minutes more until bubbly and gliden.
- Rest and Serve:Let it sit for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
